Self-Driven Gate Driver for LLC Synchronous Rectification

نویسندگان

چکیده

This letter proposes a self-driven gate driver solely composed of passive components for synchronous rectification (SR). It utilizes the energy converter itself, automatically considers component tolerances and temperature variations critical design parameters, tunes SRs on-time. Furthermore, no microcontroller, auxiliary power supply, or current-sensing/voltage-sensing is required. A great amount cost therefore saved. The proposed preferable to be used some resonant converters operating as dc transformers. presents its practical implementation in an LLC converter. Experimental results illustrate that body diodes' conduction reverse recovery are eliminated.

A New Driving Scheme for Synchronous Rectifiers: Single Winding Self-Driven Synchronous Rectification

Single winding self-driven synchronous rectification (SWSDSR) approach is a new driving circuit that overcomes the limitations of the traditional driving schemes, becoming an interesting alternative to supply new electronic loads as microprocessors. Traditional self-driven synchronous rectification (SDSR) technique has shown very good performance to improve efficiency and thermal management in ...

Synchronous Communication Link for IGBT Gate Driver Units

New inverter topologies and series connection of IGBTs require more intelligent gate drivers and faster communication links. Also, higher voltages require better electrical insulation and the communication distance increase. Most gate diver units utilize some kind of asynchronous communication protocol where the length of the pulse is varied to distinguish between different symbols on the link....

Self-Driven Synchronous Rectification Scheme for Wide Range Application of DC/DC Converters with Symmetrically Driven Transformers

Synchronous rectifiers are widely used in low voltage and high current DC/DC converters to reduce conduction power loss. For popular and reliable topologies, such as Half-bridge, Push-pull and Phase-shifted Full-bridge, the application of self-driven synchronous rectification has design challenges due to the existence of dead times. Existing solutions are not suitable for wide input voltage ran...

Single-stage AC-to-DC converter with self-driven synchronous rectification that complies with EN61000-3-2 regulations

When low output voltage and EN61000-3-2 compliance are put together, not too many options can be used, especially if the power range is between 300–600 W. This paper presents one of the best solutions to comply with both specifications at the same time: the use of a single-stage topology to comply with the low-frequency harmonic limits combined with a half-bridge converter with complementary co...
